Well... another day in Frankfurt...just waiting for the volcano to finish spewing its ash. We are considering making alternate plans now...other than waiting it out...

Das Party Wagon
Well...Mr Volcano has prevented us from flying to Africa till at least Monday (BTW...anyone have ideas of how to get us to Ethiopia?), so we we're making the most of our time here in Germany. While I'd rather be stuck in Rome or Paris; we're staying in a small town outside of Frankfurt. There is a fun little park right near the river where we take Jackson to play. Here is a video of our time there....

Stuck in Frankfurt
Well, we're spending one more night in Frankfurt. The volcanic ash has moved over Germany and most of the airports are shut down. Lord willing we will be flying out tomorrow; but no guarantee. It's nice though because we are staying in a hotel in a quaint little village outside the city. There seems to be many Italians living here as we mainly find Italian restaurants/ ice cream shops but no German food. Oh well....still good stuff.
We made a little video for your enjoyment.

Our Little Frankfurter
So our flight to Addis had a day long layover in Frankfurt Germany. We're actually pretty pumped about it. With a 14 month old kid, its hard to keep him still in a plane for 18 hours...so this stop is a good rest. We'll be heading out tomorrow morning at 7:30am.
Some pretty great blessings along the way....1) The airlines let us check in 2 bags each for free; if not, we would have had to pay about an extra $500. 2)Almost all our bags were overweight, but the gate clerk let them slide...he was very helpful! 3) The plane was more than half full to Frankfurt...so we got to spread out.
